For Farmers

Agro Revo World is a platform that brings in projects for the welfare of farmers. You're the reason it exists — every project is judged on one thing: whether the farmer ends up better off.

Let's start with what we're not going to do: we're not going to turn up and teach you how to farm. You've worked your land longer than we've been around, and a training programme isn't what's been missing. What has been missing is money that arrives before the season, and a buyer who has already agreed a price.

Our first project is Berries by Gus: moving part of your land from wheat or paddy to strawberries, blueberries, mulberries or cranberries — crops worth many times more per kilo than what most Indian farms are currently growing.

What you'd actually get:

• A buyer before you plant. Investors on this project commit to buying the harvest at an agreed price, so you're not carrying market risk on a new crop.
• The setup funded. Investment covers saplings, organic inputs and getting the plot going — not a loan against your land.
• People alongside you. Agriculture students take part in the project on your farm through the season — sharing what they know about these berries, and learning from you.
• You keep the earnings. We don't take a cut of your crop. The harvest income is yours.
• Start small. A portion of your land, not all of it. Nobody's asking you to bet the farm.
